KMS Activities
- Services. Services are held daily, both morning and evening.
- Weekdays, usual morning minyan times are 8:00 and 9:00 AM
on Sundays, 7:00 AM on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and
6:45 AM on Torah-reading days (Mondays, Thursdays, and Rosh Chodesh).
See the schedules for special days such as Purim. Weekday evening
minyanim for Minchah/Ma'ariv are about 10 minutes before sunset on
Sundays, holidays, and in the summer. During the winter months,
ma'ariv only is held at 9:00 PM.
- Shabbat and Yom Tov, usual minyan times are around
candle-lighting time (or 6:45 PM, 7:30 PM during the summer
months) for Minchah/Kabbalat Shabbat, 7:00 AM, 8:00 AM, 8:45 AM,
and 9:15 AM on Shabbat or Yom Tov morning, and about 25 minutes
before sunset for Minchah/Ma'ariv on Shabbat/Yom Tov afternoon.
The 9:15 AM minyan is the Youth Minyan, and is geared toward teenagers
and college students, though others are welcome also.
During the summer, there is also a 4:40 PM early minchah minyan
on Shabbat afternoons.

- Annual Banquet.
- Youth Activities. On Shabbat and Yom
Tov morning, youth groups are provided for children in grades 3N-4N, K-1,
and 2-3. For older children (grades 4-6), there is a "Junior Congregation"
(not meeting over the summer).
B'nai Akiva activities are often held on Shabbat afternoon. Contact
our Youth Director for more information.
- Special Needs.Please see the

- Shiurim. KMS prides itself on its active program of
classes, scholars-in-residence, and special lectures.

including Operation Embrace.
- Special Activities. KMS also prides itself on its
special cultural activities. Here for example is a photo of the recent tour of Antietam
battlefield guided by Prof. Eliot Cohen, a noted miltary
historian.
