Antietam Battlefield Tour

A unique tour of the Antietam Battlefield on July 12, 2015.  

Once again, KMS will be hosting a unique Civil War adventure led by Eliot Cohen. KMS has run Civil War tours four times in the past, with the last being in 2005. We are happy that his schedule will enable a trip this summer to the Antietam Battlefield in Sharpsburg, Maryland. Eliot is a powerhouse of knowledge when it comes to military affairs. He is one of the few teachers in America to treat military history as a serious field. In addition to his being a professor at Johns Hopkins University, he has held several top-ranking positions in the government. Eliot is an expert on the Civil War, and has led many tours of various battlefields for students and professionals. KMS is extremely fortunate to have him lead us again this summer.

The tour will take place on Sunday July 12th, and will leave from KMS promptly at 8:00 am after davening. (There will be a special Shacharit davening at 7:00 am). The tour starts on the bus with a light breakfast and snacks as Eliot begins his description of what we will be seeing. We estimate arriving back to KMS around 4:00 pm.

We are going to be using a deluxe passenger bus, so reservations are limited to a maximum of 54 people. The cost of the trip is $60 per person. Payment can be made by credit card on-line directly to KMS using this registration form. Your payment is you reservation confirmation.  There will only be refunds for cancellations if there is waiting list and the seat can be resold.  Initially, reservations are limited to KMS members and associate members. 

We will be providing a parve/dairy lunch which includes  wraps, salads, and desserts. The choices for the different kinds of wraps are listed below. As part of your reservation, please indicate which kind of wrap you would like to order. 

This trip is designed for adults and young adults.
