Rav Binny Freedman Shiur B’Tanach – Please join us Sunday, May 3, 2015 at 9:30 am in the Youth Beit Midrash as KMS and LimmudTorahMD host Rav Binny Freedman, Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshivat Orayta in Yerushalayim, who will be giving a shiur entitled “What Makes a Leader? Evaluating leadership through the lens of some of Tanach’s main characters.” The shiur will be in English and is open to everyone in the community. Rav Binny Freedman is a highly sought after and engaging and inspirational educator and speaker who has a gift for synthesizing difficult, sophisticated material in a way that inspires both the novice and the scholar. He received his Rabbinic Ordination from the Chief Rabbinate of the State of Israel while studying at Yeshivat Har Etzion under the tutelage of Rav Aharon Lichtenstein, and pursued his BA and MA studies in Education at the Herzog Teacher's College in Israel. Rav Binny has lectured at a wide variety of Yeshivot in Israel including Har Etzion, Hamivtar, Mevasseret and Midreshet Lindenbaum as well as at prestigious Universities including Princeton University, Columbia University, and the University of the Witswatersrand in South Africa. An IDF Company Commander, Rav Binny survived the S'barro's suicide bombing in Jerusalem and is considered an expert in his field and has been interviewed by CNN, MSNBC, and WCBS.
