KMS Sure Cleans Up Nice!
Helping Out in the Greater Community
GOOD DEEDS DAY
Good Deeds Day is a global initiative of the Jewish Federation, which generates the support of over two million volunteers worldwide who help out in their local communities for a fun and meaningful day of service. With the support of the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington, and in conjunction with Montgomery Parks, 121 volunteers of all ages came together from KMS, Young Israel Shomrai Emunah, Berman Hebrew Academy and NCSY, to pass out supplies and equipment and clean up our local Kemp Mill park.
TROOP 613 SERVICE DAY
The Boy Scout Troop 613 did their service project this past Sunday. They cleaned up on Glenallen,Avenue along the section that KMS has adopted.
The troop hopes to continue doing service projects, especially projects that help KMS – it’s an important part of the Scouting program and teaches Scouts about community service and helping others. It also helps strengthen the relationship between KMS (the chartered organization) and our Scout Troop.
