Pesach FAQs 2020

  • The Keilim Mikvah is currently closed due to concerns related to COVID-19. Please see the Psak of Rav Hershel Schachter on page 16 of Rabbi Weinberg’s Pesach Guide regarding how to handle new utensils
  • Thursday, April 2, 8:00 pm: I will give a shortened and modified version of my Shabbat Hagadol Drasha on Zoom.
  • There will be a joint KMS/YISE communal dumpster located at YISE, 1132 Arcola Ave, for disposal of chametz you amass after the final home garbage pickup and before Pesach. Please use this dumpster for CHAMETZ ONLY. Details to follow. Monday & Tuesday before Pesach
  • We will have a Zoom Siyum on Erev Pesach and anyone who participates by phone or video and then has a seudah afterwards will be exempt from fasting. At 7:45 am and 9:30 am (Youth).
  • There will be no Communal Chametz Burning this year. Don’t make a fire in your backyard. Burn the chametz on a grill, or, if you don’t have one, you may flush the 10 small pieces of Chametz from Bedikas Chametz down the toilet to destroy them.
