Yom Ha’Atzmaut

Yom Ha’Atzmaut: Celebrating 67 Years of Israel’s Independence! We have the special privilege of marking this special holiday as a community in several different ways and we encourage you to find the best observance for your family.

•         Participate in the community observance of Yom HaZikaron (Israel Memorial Day) and usher in the start of Yom Ha’Atzmaut at the Berman Hebrew Academy on Wednesday, April 22. The moving program begins with mincha at 6:45 pm, followed by the memorial ceremony at 7 pm, special maariv with hallel at 8:15 pm. The event concludes with music, dancing, and refreshments.
•         Join the special maariv and hallel at KMS, at 7:35 pm on Wednesday night April 22 and special shacharit service in honor of Yom Ha’Atzmaut on Thursday morning, April 23 at 6:45 am.
•         Save the afternoon of Sunday, May 31 for the celebration of Israel Fest at the Rockville Town Center, featuring live music and activities for all ages.
